Nikki has a bachelors degree in Biology from Stetson University has been a licensed childcare provider in Anoka County for over 7 years. She worked in the field of environmental education for over 15 years serving as an educator, a director and an advocate. Nikki is a past President for the MN Association for Environmental Education. She decided to leave the field and open her business because she loves children and the outdoors, and to provide an opportunity for children to learn through hands-on, outdoor experiences. Natural Wonders childcare is based upon a publication in which Nikki co-authored,"Natural Wonders: A Guide to Early Childhood for Environmental Educators." Children use the outdoors as their classroom for exploring and learning year round. Nikki is currently working on her CDA, is participating in Parent Aware and is a guest blogger on the importance of nature in early childhood education on the Early Learning Success website.
